Get Your “But” Out of the Way

In addition to the Monday talk, this month we're holding two other events:

Leading and Managing Project Success

Perhaps you are an expert in leading people and managing projects, or maybe you are a novice learning like most people do: the hard way!  Either way, even experts can fall into traps and pitfalls on a project:

  • not delivering what the customer really wanted
  • taking twice as long to deliver it as expected
  • getting stuck waiting for approvals from the wrong person

These and most other project failures are predictable and avoidable.  Prevention is easy, BUT,

  • "There's not enough time to plan"
  • "I'm too busy to communicate with all of the people involved, so I just use email"
  • "It wasn't my fault"

There are always "reasons" for the obvious and avoidable failures, BUT, there are practical and sensible approaches that can help you get your "BUT" out of the way!

Why is leading and managing a project so difficult? Is Project Management more than making a Microsoft Project Gantt Chart? Are there secrets to success or quick tips that can help anyone increase their success in projects? It is about Management or Leadership?

Join us to learn things that you can apply the next day to help you improve the results that you are getting on your projects.
