Gemini vs XPlanner

Agile or not, if you’re working in a team and are doing anything other than the simplest hack, you’ll need a tool to help you keep track of your development cycle.  My ideal tool would integrate the whole cycle from requirements to deployment.  Hard as we look, we’ve not yet found the tool, so we keep looking at different options.  Here’s my take on the latest ones, Gemini and XPlanner.

Adventure & Drama: Installing the New iPhone 3.0 Software

Just in case, I waited until the end of the week to install the new software on my iPhone 3G (no S).  Luckily, the process took a long time but it was pretty uneventful and I didn't have to throw my iPhone against the wall or anything like that.  On the other hand, I've been putting it through its paces this morning and by now I am not as impressed or excited about this new release as I was on Fri when I started the installation.

What Is "Strategy?"

I thought I knew what a strategy is (versus, say, tactics or execution); you probably think the same.  Well, I was wrong (and so are you).  The authors of Tribal Leadership managed to surprise me with their definition of "strategy" and all I can say is "wow" (and write a post about it).

We've been reading a lot of books that have to do with culture building, nurturing, etc.  In particular, we are interested in every aspect of how to create a place where people feel respected.  Where they feel "safe" making mistakes and encouraged to make great stuff happen.
