All this time, I've been eyeing the "Financial Crisis" as something going on in the news media.  Today, we just found out that we've been affected by it, and we didn't even know it!

One of our clients had fallen a little behind in their payments.  We've stayed in touch all along and they've been very forthcoming with all the information they had, so everything's been cool.

Today, we got this email update from the client,

Whoa!  I was truly surprised (and so was my client).  We're all fairly smart people and we should have figured out that the "Crisis" might have something to do with all the hemming and hawing we were hearing from the bank.  But, duh, we didn't connect the dots until the bank came clean with our client and they filled us in.

So, I can now vouch for the fact that these stimulus packages are working: our client is transferring money from their UK-based account to the US to pay us so we can pay our employees in Mexico so they can pay their bills and buy US goods and services (and maybe some UK goodies, too).
