About these Guidelines

This styleguide is designed to provide a clear set of rules to follow for the best use of Nearsoft's trademark, logo and colors. No derivative of the Nearsoft logo can be published without prior written approval from the company.

The Nearsoft Logo

The Nearsoft logo is composed of a symbol and the string "nearsoft." Both elements are closely linked and shall only be used within the frame described here. This styleguide presents a set of ground rules that should be followed at all times in order to keep the integrity of the Nearsoft identity.

Compositions

Color

The logo is comprised of two colors, Orange and Gray. Additionally, Green is used throughout the Nearsoft website at http://www.nearsoft.com, documents and slide presentations. These colors are defined above for the different possible media and shall not be changed.

Grayscale

The following version of the logo is intended for use in a grayscale environment. Automatic translation of the original colors in grayscale may not render the proper effect, the color specifications listed above for grayscaling shall be used instead.

Monochrome

In case the logo needs to be used in a monochrome environment (fax, rubber stamps, promotional objects etc.), it should only be used in black (on light backgrounds), or white (on dark backgrounds).

Placement

The logo should be placed, where applicable, in the top right corner of the page. The logo can be placed in-line without margins; when placed standalone, it should be surrounded by at least two white pixels.

Logo Usage

  • The colored Nearsoft logo shall always be used on a white background.
  • Alternatively, a very light gray background (max. 15% black) is allowed.
  • A colored background is not allowed.
  • The logo shall not be rotated.
  • The logo shall not distorted

Declinations

The Nearsoft logo is the company's basic visual identity. Declinations of it are not allowed.

Letterheads and Business Cards

In order to keep the signature intact, only the authentic logo specified herein shall be used in all printed materials, including, but not limited to, letterheads and business cards.

Letterheads and business cards should never be issued without express, written authorization from Nearsoft, Inc.

Fonts

The Helvetica font is used for the logo. No replacement is allowed.

Times New Roman is the preferred font for the content of documents and web pages. It shall be used as much as possible in printed material. The plain Times font may be used as an alternative where Times New Roman is not available. This replacement is allowed for letters, faxes and slides.

The font Helvetica Rounded Bold is the prefered font for headings and titles.
